Patient Care Coordinator
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and customer-focused Front Desk Patient Services Representative to join our team. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and referral sources. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong multitasking abilities, and a patient-centered approach when assisting individuals, particularly elderly patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls while providing exceptional customer service.
- Verify caller information and transfer calls to appropriate territories as needed.
- Schedule appointments and register patients accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records and documentation.
- Verify insurance coverage and navigate insurance portals as needed.
- Process patient orders and maintain up-to-date order status information.
- Conduct outbound calls to patients, customers, referral sources, and other offices regarding order updates and follow-up needs.
- Learn and utilize the company's W+F software system.
- Communicate effectively with patients, referral sources, corporate teams, and branch offices.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service, receptionist, call center, healthcare, or administrative experience preferred.
- Experience working with insurance verification and insurance portals is a plus.
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
- Able to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism when assisting elderly patients.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and dependability are essential.
Preferred Skills
- Experience handling high call volumes.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient scheduling.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and follow processes through completion.
- Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new software systems.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livonia, MI.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $22.00/hr.
