Patient Care Associate - South 3
Primary Responsibilities
- Affords assistance with activities of daily living such as hygiene, nutrition, elimination, mobility, comfort, and safety.
- Maintains vigilance over vital signs, patient weights, intake/output, and other pertinent data.
- Carries out assigned patient treatments under supervision, and collaborates with healthcare professionals for more intricate treatments.
- Executes phlebotomy, EKGs, Holter monitor applications, and glucometry.
- Collects and labels specimens as required.
- Responds to patient call lights and resolves issues promptly.
- Transports discharged patients safely.
- Participates in patient care rounds and provides one-to-one patient observation as necessary.
- Attends conferences and educational programs as deemed appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in reading and writing at level 8, as demonstrated through "Invest" software.
- Excellent oral communication skills for accurate information transfer and strong interpersonal skills for courteous interactions with patients, visitors, and other hospital staff members.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.92 per hour. Actual compensation is determined based on various factors including seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geographic location, job responsibilities, and applicable laws. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate due to shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in compliance with the law.
