Position Details
- Education: High school diploma, G.E.D., CNA/CPTC, or enrolled in a healthcare career program through high school curriculum, and/or current Mercy employee.
- Experience: None required in the state of practice. A required 175-hour training program is provided as part of new hire orientation, which must be completed within 90 days of hire.
- Certifications: BLS required within one month of hire, PCA competencies within three months of hire.
- Other: Minimum physical requirements include pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, prolonged standing and walking each shift, and performing duties requiring grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
- PREFERRED: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
