Mercy is hiring Patient Care Associates to support patient care across multiple inpatient units, including Cardiac, General Surgery, Med/Tele, Neuro, Observation, Oncology, and Orthopedics. Opportunities for day and night shiftsFull-time and part-time schedules available (Part Time 12 hours per week or 24 hours per week)Clear career ladder advancement to Patient Care Technician (PCT) and beyond What You’ll Do Patient Care Associate (PCA): Obtain and document vital signsAssist patients with daily care needs including meals, bathing, toileting, mobility, and transportProvide clerical and unit support as needed Patient Care Technician (PCT) (Includes PCA duties, plus additional skills) Phlebotomy and blood culturesEnteral feeding and wound careIV and Foley catheter removalTracheostomy care and suctioning Training Provided No experience required – we’ll train youComplete a 175-hour Mercy training program (meets state requirements)BLS certification required within 1 month of hire Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. requiredCNA preferred but not requiredStudents in healthcare career programs and current Mercy co-workers encouraged to apply Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50lbsProlonged standing and walkingFrequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting Why Mercy?
