Patient Care Associate: Kay 4 day shift

About the role

At St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital you’ll be part of a team that gives its all to make a difference in the lives of patients with rare and life-threatening diseases. As a Patient Care Associate on Kay 4 you’ll serve on the frontlines of groundbreaking research, supporting RNs as they deliver high-stakes treatment and performing daily administrative, clerical, and patient-care duties including admission and discharge.

Responsibilities

• Assist registered nurses with high-stakes treatment delivery
• Perform daily administrative and clerical tasks
• Provide patient care duties such as TPR (Temperature, Pulse, Respiratory), BP (Blood Pressure), bed baths, and ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
• Participate in patient admission and discharge processes

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant program or completion of foundations of nursing from an accredited nursing program

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience preferred
• Experience with TPR, BP, bed baths, and ADLs preferred

Schedule

This role consists of three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekend and holiday assignments.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $19.50 – $28.50 per hour for the Patient Care Associate role on Kay 4 day shift.
