Patient Care Associate: ICU nights

About the Role

As a Patient Care Associate in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, you’ll serve on the frontlines of groundbreaking research and support our RNs in facilitating high-stakes treatment. Your role will include daily administrative and clerical tasks, patient care duties, admission, and discharge in a mission-driven environment dedicated to children with cancer, sickle cell, and other life-threatening diseases.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs with patient care duties in the ICU.
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks to support unit operations.
• Participate in patient admission and discharge processes.
• Support activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient monitoring (e.g., temperature, pulse, respiratory, blood pressure).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or completion of foundations of nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Experience with TPR (Temperature, Pulse, Respiratory), BP (Blood Pressure), bed baths, and ADLs preferred.

Schedule

• Night shift.
• Three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Weekend and holiday requirements.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $19.50 - $28.50 per hour.
