Patient Care Associate - ED / Nights

Qualifications

• High school diploma, G.E.D., CNA/CPTC, or enrollment in a healthcare career program through high school curriculum.
• Current co-worker of Mercy.

Experience

• In the state of practice: Requires a 175-hour training program meeting state of practice Department of Health and Senior Services requirements.
• The training program is part of the new hire orientation process and must be completed within 90 days of hire.

Certifications

• BLS required within one month of hire.
• Completion of PCA competencies within 3 months of hire.

Minimum Physical Requirements

• Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
