About the role
We are seeking a personable, energetic, professional Patient Care Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for front desk operations, including greeting patients, check-in, check-out, scheduling, and other administrative tasks to ensure great patient outcomes and experiences.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients professionally, both in person and on the phone.
- Quickly answer or properly refer questions and issues.
- Optimize provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling.
- Notify providers of patient arrivals.
- Comfort patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions.
- Ensure availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records.
- Verify financial records and collect patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claims.
- Maintain office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Perform rotating duties within the clinic, including managing check-in/check-out processes, answering phones, and obtaining authorizations and eligibilities.
- Travel to other locations as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records software is a plus.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
