About the role
We are seeking a personable, energetic, professional Patient Care Associate to join our team. The Patient Care Associate is responsible for front desk operations, including greeting patients, check-in, check-out, scheduling, and other administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients professionally, both in person and on the phone
- Quickly answer or properly refer questions and issues
- Optimize provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling
- Notify providers of patient arrivals
- Comfort patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions
- Ensure availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records
- Verify financial records and collect patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claims
- Maintain office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders
- Provide excellent customer service
- Travel to other Northeastern Eye Institute locations
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge of electronic medical records software is a plus
- Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus
