About the role

Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and other related technical and clinical support activities.

Responsibilities

• Aid in transporting patients, as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Monitor vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, blood glucose measurements, and record intake and output.
• Tend to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating.
• Maintain patient rooms/areas by stocking, cleaning, and keeping them orderly.

Requirements

• No degree or any other education earned.
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD)
• BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD)
• BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA)
• BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC)
• BLS Cert Grace (BLS GRACE)
• Completion of EKG and phlebotomy competencies within six (6) months of hire date.

Qualifications

• No specific educational requirement.
• Three (3) months of patient care experience demonstrating the ability to perform basic patient care or certification of completion from formal training program required.
