About the role
Under the direction of a registered/licensed nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists in clinical support functions as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.
$750.00 Sign-On Bonus
Qualifications
- Certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, EMT, or commensurate experience required
- Current enrollment in and successful completion of the NWH Patient Care Associate Training Program, or
- Nursing student who has completed fundamentals of nursing with a clinical component (clinical rotation or simulation lab)
- Strong preference for nursing students enrolled in BSN programs or direct-entry Masters’ programs
Responsibilities
Assists in clinical support functions to promote a safe and compassionate patient care environment as part of the interdisciplinary health care team.
Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week
- Every other weekend and every other holiday
- 36 scheduled weekly hours
- Night shift (onsite at 2014 Washington Street)
Pay
Pay range: $20.58 - $25.28 per hour (Grade 3). Base pay is determined by skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and other essential factors. Total compensation includes competitive base pay, comprehensive benefits, career advancement opportunities, differentials, premiums, bonuses, and recognition programs.
