About the role

Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and other related technical and clinical support activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.

Requirements

• No degree or formal education required.
• BLS American Heart E-Card or BLS Cert American Heart (American Heart Association).
• Certified Nursing Assistant License (CNA) from the State of Florida.
• Three (3) months of patient care experience demonstrating the ability to perform basic patient care or certification of completion from a formal training program.
• EKG and phlebotomy competencies are required within six (6) months of hire date.
