About the role
Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and other related technical and clinical support activities.
Responsibilities
- Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
- Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
Requirements
- No degree or formal education required.
- BLS American Heart E-Card or BLS Cert American Heart (American Heart Association).
- Certified Nursing Assistant License (CNA) from the State of Florida.
- Three (3) months of patient care experience demonstrating the ability to perform basic patient care or certification of completion from a formal training program.
- EKG and phlebotomy competencies are required within six (6) months of hire date.
