About the role
Patient Care Assistants in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provide direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses. The role involves assisting with patient care activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care activities including feeding, bathing, and medication administration under supervision.
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of patient rooms.
- Support the team in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or related field is preferred but not required.
- Pass a background check.
- Current CPR certification.

Pay
