About the role

A $750 sign-on bonus is being offered to eligible new employees hired into this full-time, 36-hour-per-week PCA position. The schedule includes rotating shifts with every other weekend.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frames.
  • Complete all documentation in the medical record as required.
  • Interact effectively with patients and their families.
  • Assist patients with basic hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
  • Help patients turn and reposition in bed and transfer between bed and wheelchair.
  • Monitor and document patient concerns, reporting them to nurses promptly.
  • Support patient comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.
  • Obtain EKGs and draw blood as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (preferred).
  • Certified Medical Assistant (preferred).
  • Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (Massachusetts) (preferred).
  • Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA - New Hampshire) (preferred).
  • 1-2 years of experience working in patient care or elder care (preferred).

Skills

  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong patient and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Proficient computer skills for electronic medical records.

Pay

Base pay range: $0 - $26.58/hourly (Grade 3). Compensation is determined based on skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and other essential factors.

Schedule

  • Full-time, 36 hours per week.
  • Rotating shifts with every other weekend.

Additional Details

  • Onsite role located at 243-245 Charles Street.
