Patient Care Assistant Nursing Resource Pool
Position Purpose
The PCA, under the direction of a registered nurse, is responsible for direct patient care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs. They assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/family wellbeing including concepts of relationship-based care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/family wellbeing including concepts of relationship-based care.
- Absorb and implement new equipment, processes and procedures.
- Assist patient in completing ADLs including: Bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation using assistive devices and with feeding and menu selection.
- Record patient information and required data in appropriate areas in order to meet documentation requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Recent hospital inpatient patient care experience desired.

Minimum pay rate: $16/hr + based upon applicable on the job patient care experience

- Atrium East (Med/Surg)
- Atrium West (Inpatient Rehabilitation)
