Patient Care Assistant - NICU 4

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Absorb and document patient/family data
• Obtain and document vital signs (without continuous physiologic monitors)
• Notify professionals of abnormal findings as observed
• Collaborate with RN and patient/family to deliver high-quality, cost-effective care
• Identify patient/family responses to care provided
• Provide input to RN for plan of care development and modification
• Maintain accountability for personal development and participation in others' development
• Show commitment to teamwork, flexibility, professional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Participate in achieving hospital/unit goals

Skills & Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• Completion of a formal nursing assistant educational program or certification (e.g. Diploma/Course/Certificate/associate degree/Etc.)
• One year of direct patient care experience
