Patient Care Assistant - Med/Surg

Roxborough Memorial Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is a 131-bed community hospital that has served the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls, and northwest Philadelphia communities for more than a century, opening its doors in 1890. The hospital's School of Nursing has been educating nurses since 1898, and the facility is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living
• Provide basic nursing care to all patients
• Assist in maintenance of a safe environment
• Work under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire (preferred)
• Current EKG certification upon hire (preferred)
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office (preferred)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
