About the role

The Patient Care Assistant works in a supporting role to nursing by conducting patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Conducting patient care activities
• Performing duties such as cleaning
• Taking vital signs
• Obtaining lab specimens
• Charting
• Assisting with activities of daily living
• Managing clerical duties
• Ordering and receiving supplies

Requirements

• Proof of required degrees, certificates and/or certifications at the time of the interview
• Medical Terminology exam score of 80% or higher
• Proof of satisfactory completion of a Medical Assistant degree or Certified Nurses Aide certification

Qualifications

Primarily this includes but is not limited to performing duties such as cleaning, taking vital signs, obtaining lab specimens, charting, escorting patients, assisting with activities of daily living, managing clerical duties and ordering and receiving supplies.
