About the role
The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living
- Provide basic nursing care to all patients
- Maintain a safe environment under RN supervision
Requirements
- Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred
- Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred
Pay
Reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $21.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
