About the role
Patient Care Assistant in a med/surg unit, supporting nursing staff in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care activities in the cardiac medical department.
- Provide nursing support under supervision, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Work scheduled hours, including night shifts and every other weekend.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 1 year of nursing assistant or PCA experience; or 6 months with certification.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the practice state required with 6 months experience; certification not needed for over a year of experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
