About the role
Provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, focusing on physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
Responsibilities
- Implement care plans
- Ensure patient comfort and safety
- Perform activities of daily living
- Measure vital signs
- Conduct ECGs and blood glucose tests
- Observe and report changes in patient condition
- Monitor equipment and dressings
- Incorporate customer service principles into care activities, including confidentiality and responsiveness
- Adhere to departmental policies
- Complete required certifications if not already certified
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant education and experience, or completion of a nursing assistant or medical assistant program
Qualifications
- Preferred: at least one year of experience in patient care
- Advantageous certifications: Basic Life Support, Certified Medical Assistant, or Certified Nursing Assistant
