About the role

The Patient Care Aide(PCA) works under the direction of the RN/LPN. The responsibilities of the Patient Care Aide include providing direct patient care and maintaining patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care
• Maintain patient care standards
• Work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds
• Organize, set priorities and manage multiple priorities
• Adapt to a rapidly changing environment

Requirements

• BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period
• Proof of Nursing Assistant (CNA) class completion required from a state approved program
• Active certification preferred but not required
• EMT Certification accepted

Qualifications

• Education required: High School or GED completion

Skills

• Ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds
• Organizational and prioritization skills
• Adaptable to a rapidly changing environment
