Patient Care Aide - PCA

About the role

Visiting Angels of Marble Falls is hiring a Patient Care Aide (PCA) to support elderly and home-care clients in the Highland Lakes area, including Llano, Marble Falls, Mason, Burnet, Kingsland, Buchanan Dam, and surrounding communities. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Manage light housekeeping tasks.
• Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompt clients to take prescription medications at the correct times.
• Assist with shopping, grocery management, and meal planning/preparation based on client ability.
• Support clients with mobility and ambulation, including doctor visits and walks.
• Act quickly in medical emergencies and report health changes or unusual circumstances.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
• A compassionate heart for vulnerable individuals seeking companionship.
• Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.
