About the role

Visiting Angels of Marble Falls is hiring a Patient Care Aide (PCA) to provide compassionate, in‑home support to senior adults throughout the Highland Lakes area, including Burnet, Marble Falls, Lampasas, Buchanan Dam, Llano, and surrounding communities. The PCA helps clients stay at home or recover with dignity, offering a flexible career with room for growth and the chance to make a meaningful difference.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Manage light housekeeping tasks.
• Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompt clients to take prescription medications at the correct times.
• Help clients with shopping and putting away groceries, or shop on their behalf.
• Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients, based on their abilities.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation, including moving around the house, traveling to doctor appointments, and taking walks.
• Respond quickly to medical emergencies, reporting health changes or unusual circumstances promptly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time‑management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
• A heart for vulnerable people seeking meaningful companionship.
• Willingness to comply with state and office‑specific health and safety standards.
