About the role
We are seeking a friendly, service-oriented Hospital Patient Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will warmly greet and assist patients, family members, and visitors from the drop-off area and help them navigate the hospital and clinic. You’ll play an important part in creating a welcoming, supportive, and positive experience for everyone who enters our facilities.
Scheduled weekly hours: 24 (.6 FTE)
Shifts: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 7:30am–5pm, with occasional weekend rotation required (10-week rotation)
Location: La Crosse
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting, directing, escorting, and assisting patients, visitors, and families throughout the hospital and clinic.
- Assist patients with wheelchair use, transport, and wayfinding while ensuring safety.
- Support check-in processes for visitors and vendors and respond to customer questions, concerns, or needs using appropriate resources.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties, including basic computer use, paging, phone skills, and data entry for tracking logs and reports.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- 1 year of experience working with the public
- 1 year of customer service or healthcare experience preferred
- Basic computer skills is a plus
