Patient Ambassador, Full-Time/ Mornings

About the role

Under the direct supervision of the Patient Food Services Manager at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis Food Service (615 S New Ballas Rd, Saint Louis, MO 63141), the Patient Ambassador provides patient‑focused support services across food and nutrition, linen, laundry, housekeeping, and supply management. The role includes operating TUG robots for the delivery and exchange of supplies and patient meals to nursing units and performing duties consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient‑focused support services in food and nutrition, linen, laundry, housekeeping, and supply management.
• Operate TUG robots for the delivery and exchange of supplies and patient meals to nursing units.
• Perform duties in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

Requirements

• Obtain Jefferson Food Handlers certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Skills

• Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Interest in learning new skills and growth in the role.
• Additional languages preferred.

Schedule

Full‑time, Mornings 5:00 AM–1:30 PM; eligible for shift differentials.
