About the Role

As a PRN Patient Aide, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth surgical operations. This position requires weekdays only — no holidays, weekends, or call. Competitive salary and benefits are offered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Technologist in the examination room, as necessary.
  • Transport patients to dressing rooms and scanning rooms; review and complete paperwork with patients; set up scanning rooms; load power injectors.
  • Check labs or alert Nurse when I-Stat is needed; perform appointment reminders and patient follow-up for additional exams.
  • Collect and sort films; perform quality assurance on films.
  • Assist Medical Receptionists as needed.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with equipment, materials, and supplies; alert Technologists to any medical devices the patient may have.
  • Alert Technologists and Nurse to any allergies regarding contrast.
  • Check scanning rooms for supplies; stock scanning rooms; keep patient dressing rooms clean and orderly.
  • Work with the individual responsible for purchasing in the ordering of supplies; maintain supply room and bring supplies from storage.
  • Ensure predictable attendance and promptness in returning from breaks and meal periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Strive to meet goals as established by Modesto Radiology Imaging, committing to the patient, Radiologists, the Company, and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Ability to adjust to changing situations and assignments and exhibit adaptability.
  • Ability to evaluate work circumstances and make appropriate decisions.
  • Willingness to assume responsibility and exhibit initiative; self-motivation.
  • Ability to lift patients with additional help.
  • Ability to work with and support other departments in the Company.
  • Professional attitude and conduct; ability to remain tactful and courteous regardless of circumstances.
  • Openness to changing job responsibilities and covering other departments as needed.
