Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients and families, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Processing patient admissions, verifying insurance coverage, and managing pre-admission testing
  • Coordinating with physicians, ancillary departments, and external payers to ensure timely and accurate patient registration
  • Managing patient information and maintaining accurate medical records
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure smooth transitions in care
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies
  • Assisting with special projects and initiatives as needed

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration upon hire
  • National Certification of CHAA
  • 3 years Experience in Patient Access of Business office setting
  • Experience with insurance eligibility systems
  • 3 years Utilization of medical terminology in job setting
  • Knowledge in medical billing codes
  • 1 year Knowledge of Epic applications

  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and coding

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

Full-time/Day Shift - Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 5:30am-6:00pm
