Patient Admissions Coordinator

Responsibilities
- Assist patients and their families with registration and insurance verification processes.
- Manage patient admissions and ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
- Handle inquiries related to patient admissions and provide appropriate guidance.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures regarding patient access and business office operations.
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of medical billing codes to process claims accurately.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and service delivery.
- Use Epic applications to manage patient data and streamline administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Average of 3 years of experience in Patient Access or Business Office setting.
- Knowledge of insurance eligibility systems and medical billing codes.
- Experience with medical terminology in job setting.
- Basic understanding of Epic applications.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
- National Certification of CHAA upon hire.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

This is a part-time/variable shift position.
