About the role
The Registrar is responsible for securing appropriate patient account reimbursement by obtaining complex demographic, insurance and medical information and ensuring this is documented timely and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Secure appropriate patient account reimbursement by obtaining complex demographic, insurance and medical information and ensuring this is documented timely and accurately.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and policies.
- Manage patient accounts and ensure accurate billing and coding.
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and third-party payors to resolve billing issues.
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and billing processes.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Demonstrated outstanding customer service experience
- Clerical and computer experience
- Organizing and planning skills
Preferred Qualifications
- College level course work, particularly Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant coursework
- Upon hire: Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS)
- Registrar and third party payor experience

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The base pay range is $25.00 - $34.41 per hour.
Schedule
This position is full-time and works on a day shift.
