About the role

This is a part-time role with variable shifts, focusing on customer service and data management in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or their representatives to collect demographic and insurance information
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations
• Work closely with the Admitting department and reception areas
• Operate a computer to input and retrieve data
• Communicate effectively with diverse patient populations using age-specific techniques
• Maintain proficiency in medical terminology
• Complete special projects with specific deadlines as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous hospital admissions or customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology beneficial
• Strong communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
