Responsibilities

  • Communicate and work cooperatively with fiscal intermediaries, private insurance companies, auditors and other facility and executive office staff.
  • Congnrols Medicare/Medicaid process for residents, verifies Medicare days available with the intermediary, works with admissions/social services/nursing to complete information needed for admissions/discharges.
  • Maintains accurate census records to include changes in payer sources, room changes, bed changes, discharges and transfers, leave of absence and hospital bed hold agreements.
  • Oversees and maintains the resident trust account and cash receipt log of daily deposits.
  • Verifies ancillary invoices for respiratory therapy, DME, and pharmacy.

Qualifications

  • Successful candidates should possess five or more years’ experience as a Patient Account Representative or Business Office Manager in LTC.
  • Candidate must also be proficient on the computer.
