Patient Account Representative

Responsible for the overall management of the patient encounter to ensure effective customer service, compliant billing and collection, correspondence management, claim follow-up, accurate payment and adjustment reconciliation, correspondence review, and compliance of overall K.P.I. and departmental standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• One to three years’ diverse experience in a healthcare setting
• Comprehension of medical billing and collection
• Financial background in accounts receivable
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of regulatory billing and HIPAA guidelines
• Competent in the use of desktop computers, ten-key, copy machine, and fax machine
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and similar programs
• Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job

Pay

$23.00 - $31.82 per hour. The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
