Job Responsibility
- Resolve complex Workers' Compensation billing situations, denials, and payment discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive appeals for denied or underpaid claims, including drafting compelling appeal letters.
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle processes, including denial management and follow-up.
- Conduct thorough follow-up on outstanding Workers' Compensation accounts receivable with payers, adjusters, and legal representatives.
- Manage high-volume work queues, prioritize tasks effectively, and consistently meet strict deadlines.
- Analyzes Workers' Compensation fee schedules and reimbursement payment terms, identifying discrepancies and ensuring accurate expected payments.
- Extensive knowledge of Workers' Compensation laws, rules, and regulations.
- Proficient understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding, with an emphasis on Workers' Compensation coding requirements.
- Knowledge of Epic HB/PB strongly preferred.
Job Qualification
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
- Epic experience.
