Patient Account Representative

About the role

As a Patient Account Specialist, you will be responsible for managing patient billing and collections, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Process patient payments and insurance claims accurately and efficiently
• Resolve billing inquiries and disputes in a timely manner
• Communicate with patients and insurance companies to ensure clear understanding of charges and payment terms
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and policies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
• At least 2 years of experience in healthcare billing and collections
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Knowledge of healthcare billing and coding standards
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
