The Patient Account Representative position at EVMS Medical Group at ODU is a customer service representative role aimed at handling and resolving patient issues and answering billing account questions.
Responsibilities
- Taking inbound patient calls
- Placing outbound calls regarding balance on accounts
- Researching and processing all mail correspondence
- Processing credit card payments in EPIC to patient accounts
- Working with departments to resolve disputes on behalf of patients
- Setting up and monitoring budget plans
- Completing financial interviews
Requirements
Minimum qualifications include customer service experience, familiarity with CPT/ICD10 codes, and understanding of carrier explanation of benefits (EOB).
Preferred Qualifications
- One year experience in a medical office setting
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
