About the role
As a Patient Access Workleader at Cleveland Clinic, you will manage and correct registration escalation issues, create ED Zone schedules, coach and train new caregivers, and perform patient registration functions. Your role includes helping to ensure correct registration tasks are completed to minimize service recovery needs and support the team interfacing with patients.
Responsibilities
- Manage and correct registration escalation issues
- Create ED Zone schedules
- Coach and train new caregivers
- Perform patient registration functions
- Ensure timely and accurate patient registration resolution
- Provide general oversight and direction for caregivers
- Rotate to different locations/hospitals based on staffing needs
- Contact insurance payers for resolution of accounts with registration issues
- Assist with and resolve patient inquiries or complaints
- Recommend and provide input to execute Patient Access programs
- Independently staff all patient access areas at any facility
- Train caregivers and conduct performance evaluations
- Complete operational tasks including staff schedules, working reports, compliance and denial audits, and time and attendance entries
Requirements
- Four years of experience in a customer-facing role with in-person or phone contact
- Previous work leader experience with demonstrated competence in personnel management
- A high school diploma or GED
- Basic PC software application knowledge
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree may substitute one year of experience
- Bachelor’s degree may substitute two years of experience

Pay
Pay Range Minimum hourly: $17.25
Maximum hourly: $26.31
Schedule
11:00pm to 7:30am with rotating weekends every other week and rotating holidays
