Responsibilities

• Manages accurate patient account information and insurance verification.
• Affords assistance to patients with billing inquiries and resolves discrepancies.
• Processes payments promptly and coordinates with providers and insurers.
• Reviews and audits accounts to identify errors.
• Communicates with patients regarding outstanding balances.
• Upholds confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Supports the billing department through report generation and tracking.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience in patient account management or medical billing.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and billing processes.
• Experience resolving patient billing inquiries and discrepancies.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.
