Patient Access Representative, Per Diem, Variable Shift

About the role

Nestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been providing care to our community since 1959. Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma center.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients for all pertinent account information.
• Verifies all insurance and calculates and collects patient liability amounts.
• Ensures that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment.
• Answers any questions and explains policies clearly.
• Checks for physician orders and attaches them to appropriate patient record to ensure correct test is received.
• Prints and collates any paperwork needed for each patient to for distribution to unit/department.
• Escorts patients to his/her area or refers patient to available escort as needed.

Requirements

• Education and Work Experience: High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Essential Functions: Follows guidelines and instructions from senior staff.

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position is $24.00 to $28.13. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
