Patient Access Representative - OBGYN - per diem

Responsibilities

• Interview and collect patient demographic information and enter it into the practice’s EMR information system.
• Distribute required patient information confidentially.
• Schedule appropriate tests, follow-up appointments, monitor provider schedules.
• Answer telephones and document in the EMR.
• Order inventory and communicate with ancillary and clinical departments as needed.
• Manage all referrals to specialty practices.
• Obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies.
• Work with insurance companies to stay informed about changing insurance requirements; update patient insurance information as verified.
