Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional patient care from registration to discharge
  • Assist with insurance verification, payment collection, and information gathering
  • Crosstrain to perform tasks across patient access areas including front desk, admitting office, ED, and cash register
  • Act as a Super User and provide training to new caregivers
  • Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role
  • An Associate’s Degree and 1 year of experience
  • A Bachelor’s Degree with sufficient medical terminology knowledge
  • Basic PC software application knowledge and ability to use multiple data systems
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Physical requirements: Dexterity to operate a PC and other office equipment, extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting, good visual acuity, ability to navigate various locations, fast-paced environment, ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required

Skills

Knowledge of medical terminology, basic PC software application knowledge, excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, physical abilities to meet job requirements.

Pay

Minimum hourly: $15.75
Maximum hourly: $21.65

Schedule

Part-time schedule of 20 hours per week, with shifts from 10:00am to 9:00pm, including a one-hour lunch break. Schedules follow a biweekly rotation: Week 1 includes Wednesday and Saturday, and Week 2 includes Sunday and Wednesday. This role requires participation in weekend and holiday rotations. The first two weeks of the position will be designated for EPIC training.
