Patient Access Representative I

About the role

Manage the patient registration process, including verifying identity, reviewing schedules, and registering patients for services. Scan and verify important documents, enter demographic and insurance data into electronic health records, and ensure compliance with privacy standards. Explain and collect co-payments and balances, greet patients, answer questions, and coordinate patient flow. Additional duties may include scheduling, pre-admission, discharge tasks, and providing updates to families.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of customer service or data entry experience
• Proficiency in keyboarding
• High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree may substitute for experience)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
