Patient Access Representative - Front Office

About the role

This role serves as the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and directing callers and walk-ins
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Registering patients
  • Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Collecting payments
  • Assisting with required documentation
  • Acting as a liaison between patients, families, and clinical staff by providing updates, triaging questions, and supporting continuity of care
  • Maintaining HIPAA compliance
  • Managing records
  • Processing payments and mail
  • Updating databases
  • Completing reports
  • Maintaining office operations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • Two plus years of experience in a similar role in a clinical setting highly preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes preferred
  • Friends and Family CPR required; can be obtained upon hire

Pay

Full-time, Monday-Friday, four 10-hour shifts per week from 6:30AM-5:00PM. NO WEEKENDS! NO HOLIDAYS!
