About the role
This role serves as the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience.Responsibilities
- Greeting and directing callers and walk-ins
- Scheduling appointments
- Registering patients
- Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits
- Collecting payments
- Assisting with required documentation
- Acting as a liaison between patients, families, and clinical staff by providing updates, triaging questions, and supporting continuity of care
- Maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Managing records
- Processing payments and mail
- Updating databases
- Completing reports
- Maintaining office operations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Two plus years of experience in a similar role in a clinical setting highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes preferred
- Friends and Family CPR required; can be obtained upon hire
