About the role

The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families, ensuring accurate billing and insurance processing, and maintaining a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Handle patient inquiries regarding insurance coverage, payment options, and billing statements.
  • Process insurance claims and ensure timely submission to third-party payers.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance companies to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies related to billing and insurance processing.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare coding and billing systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
