Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional, welcoming, and compassionate manner.
- Register patients and accurately collect demographic, insurance, and financial information.
- Schedule appointments and assist patients with appointment changes and follow-up visits.
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required authorizations as appropriate.
- Collect co-payments and process patient payments according to organizational policies.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling, registration, and general inquiries.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record system.
- Cookordinate communication between patients, providers, and care teams to support efficient clinic operations.
- Provide excellent customer service while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous customer service, administrative, retail, hospitality, banking, healthcare, or office experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- The ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
- Basic computer and data entry skills are required.
- The ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling patient information is important.
- Experience with healthcare registration, scheduling, or electronic medical records is helpful but not required.
- A commitment to providing exceptional service and creating a positive patient experience is valued.
