Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional, welcoming, and compassionate manner.
  • Register patients and accurately collect demographic, insurance, and financial information.
  • Schedule appointments and assist patients with appointment changes and follow-up visits.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required authorizations as appropriate.
  • Collect co-payments and process patient payments according to organizational policies.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling, registration, and general inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record system.
  • Cookordinate communication between patients, providers, and care teams to support efficient clinic operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous customer service, administrative, retail, hospitality, banking, healthcare, or office experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • The ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills are required.
  • The ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling patient information is important.
  • Experience with healthcare registration, scheduling, or electronic medical records is helpful but not required.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional service and creating a positive patient experience is valued.
