Patient Access Representative
About the Role
As "the champion of first impressions," you will maximize your talent for organization, operations, and customer service while leading and guiding change. You’ll collaborate with administration, management, physicians, and other staff members to support patients, visitors, and customers.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive impression for each patient, family member, visitor, or staff member while performing pre-admitting, admitting, registering, routing, or escorting tasks.
- Interview patients or relatives to obtain demographic and financial information required for registration/admission and record it in the electronic record system.
- Verify insurance benefits, explain financial requirements to patients or representatives, and collect outstanding patient portions prior to or at the point of service.
- Serve as a mentor to new associates and assist in new employee orientation.
Requirements
- Office experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, multitasking, and prioritizing skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Windows XP/7, and website search engines.
- High School diploma required.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work involving prolonged periods of sitting.
- Ability to exert up to 10 lbs of force occasionally.

The Weber Campus, a 16,000-square-foot facility in Roy, provides emergency care, radiology, mammography, and 24/7 laboratory services for communities west of I-15, including Ogden and Roy.
Located near Hill Air Force Base, the hospital offers quick access to Ogden, Salt Lake City, Antelope Island State Park, and outdoor activities like hiking and biking.
Pay
$17.00 - $25.08 per hour.
