About the role

Adventist Health Delano is seeking a Patient Access Representative for a Per-diem position with 10-hour variable shifts. The role is based in Delano, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Check for physician orders and attaches them to patient medical record to ensure that patients are receiving appropriate tests.
  • Interviews patients for all pertinent account information.
  • Verifies all insurance and calculates and collects patient liability amounts.
  • Ensures that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment.
  • Answers any questions and explains policies clearly.
  • Checks for physician orders and attaches them to appropriate patient record to ensure correct test is received.
  • Prints and collates any paperwork needed for each patient to for distribution to unit/department.
  • Escorts patients to his/her area or refers patient to available escort as needed.

Requirements

  • Education and Work Experience: High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Essential Functions: Follows guidelines and instructions from senior staff. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Pay and Benefits

  • The estimated base pay for this position is $25.00 to $30.91.
  • A comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
