Responsibilities
- Patient Service: Courteously advises patients of collection and billing procedures and ensures they understand their responsibilities.
- Customer Service: Welcomes patients courteously, answers questions and concerns appropriately, and facilitates access to Advance Directives.
- Registration: Accurately registers patients in Epic, manages patient flow, collects payments, and arranges payment plans.
- Documentation: Documents patient referrals accurately, schedules and reschedules appointments, and processes claims.
- Clerical Duties: Completes various clerical tasks efficiently, maintains accurate patient files, and verifies and collects patient payments.
- Payor Regulations: Researches and resolves claim edits and denials, and maintains up-to-date records of health plan details.
- Cash Management: Manages cash according to policies, reconciles daily cash funds, and meets collection goals.
- Support: Provides backup support as needed and assists in clinic initiatives and training.
Qualifications
- Experience: 6 months in a customer service/front desk role or a graduate of a front office/medical office program.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Skills: Professional demeanor, excellent customer service skills, multitasking ability, critical thinking, computer literacy, and proficiency in Epic.
