Employment Type Full time Shift Evening Shift Description TRAINING IS MON-FRI 8a-4:30p for 2 WEEKS Includes classroom time in Springfield, MA Position Purpose Resource person responsible for Emergency Department bedside registration, collection of copayments and collecting all patient demographic information. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information. What You Will Do Obtain approvals and payments on siteProcesses include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability informationResponsible for the pre-registration process of patient admissionsExplain insurance and private pay liabilities; appropriately refer patients requiring financial counselingAccurately enter/update all patient demographic information, including insurance and patient liability; post payments to appropriate screen and complete reconciliation reports Minimum Qualifications Minimum High School diploma or equivalentStrong interpersonal and communication skillsKnowledge of medical terminology and medical insurancesPatient access hospital experience strongly preferred Position Highlights And Benefits Full time 40hr 3p-11:30p including every other weekend -- shift and weekend differentials apply!TRAINING IS M-F 8-4:30 for 2 weeks, including significant time at Mercy in SpringfieldExcellent benefits starting day one Ministry/Facility Information Saint Francis Hospital is committed to exceeding the expectations of our patients and families by providing world-class service in a progressive, people-centered, compassionate health care environment.
