About the role
You propel tactical direction and bring unity to complex business relationships. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful launch of patient access initiatives within the assigned geographic region. The primary focus of the Patient Access Manager is to ensure that the activities of the Patient Access Specialists contribute to the achievement of the objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the skill sets and performance of the Patient Access Specialists to achieve/exceed specific business goals.
- Attract, coach, and retain individuals who will ensure high-level performance.
- Direct Patient Access Specialists in providing reimbursement education and leveraging patient healthcare information (PHI) for neuroscience products.
- Develop plans that effectively help Patient Access Specialists translate and support the benefits investigation and prior authorization processes for neuroscience products and administration/observation.
- Provide communication and motivation to all members of the district toward delivering the expectations of the customer. Reinforce the value that we are customer-driven.
- Remain fully versed in compliance regulations including legal and regulatory and ensure the team is equally trained.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 8+ years in reimbursement, contract strategy, managed care sales, Part B/Medical benefit, and/or healthcare/pharmaceuticals.
- Specialty pharmacy channel experience; CMS policy and process knowledge.
- Current driver’s license in good standing along with the ability to travel overnight up to 75%.
- Must live within territory or within territory boundaries.
Qualifications (Desired)
- Advanced degree.
- 3+ years in a field reimbursement and access leadership position.
- Experience in CNS therapeutic area.
